Embarking on our Childfree Caribbean group cruise was a journey of discovery, camaraderie, and unforgettable adventures! From the historic streets of San Juan to the pristine shores of Caribbean islands, each day unfolded with new wonders and cherished memories.
Before the cruise began, we roamed the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan and had a casual meet and greet at a local bar. We didn’t stay out too late since many of us were tired from the travel day and we were eagerly anticipating the start of the cruise!
Embarkation day finally came and we gathered at the sail away party before our first group dinner. A few of us watched the ship sail away from port and some of us even stayed up late enough for the pajama party!
As we sailed onward to Tortola, Guadeloupe, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, and beyond, our days were filled with a tapestry of experiences—snorkeling in turquoise waters, exploring hidden caves, and indulging in delicious cuisine!
In Barbados, we saw Rihanna’s childhood home and beautiful beaches, St. Lucia beckoned with its majestic peaks and vibrant culture, while Antigua charmed us with its 365 beaches and captivating landscapes.
We celebrated the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, two birthdays, Scarlet Night and Valentine’s Day!
Amidst the adventures, we forged bonds of friendship and shared laughter, gathering for group dinners, karaoke nights, trivia sessions, and impromptu gatherings. From solo travelers to couples and friends, each person added their unique spark to our collective journey.
Our final sea day was a needed break for relaxation and ship activities. From bungee classes, to drag bingo, to hammock lounging, each person customized their group experience.
We finished off the trip with a group dinner in the Italian restaurant followed by a talk about childfree bingos with Marcia Drut-Davis, the Childfree Guru. Marcia had lots of wisdom to share as an 81-year old childfree woman who has zero regrets!
As our cruise came to a close, we bid farewell to new and old friends with anticipation for the adventures that lie ahead. We were delighted to relive each day of the cruise through Claiming Zero’s 150th podcast episode titled “Childfree Cruise Adventures.” Podcast hosts Daliyce and Vanessa were on board and recorded some snippets from people in our group and gave their own take on each day.

Where are We Headed Next?
Luckily we don’t have to wait too long for the next childfree group adventure!
We will be going to an all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica from February 5-9, 2025. This adult-only resort is less than 30 minutes from the Liberia Costa Rica airport.
Set in a lush tropical environment, you can relax or adventure as much as you choose while being with other childfree people!
